Financial Assistance Bursary
The Edmonton Female Athletic Club, in partnership with Hockey Alberta, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and the Hockey Alberta Foundation, is proud to introduce the
EFAC FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BURSARY
Our commitment to helping families remove financial barriers in high performance sport by granting players with displayed financial need, a bursary of up to $2500 towards the cost of registration fees for the current season.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the EFAC Financial Assistance Bursary:
- Applicant’s player must be currently registered to an EFAC “AA” team
- Families must meet the Federal Government’s Low-Income Cut Off (LICO) Scale + 30%, as shown below and applicants must submit a current Notice of Assessment from the Canadian Revenue Agency for each adult in the home:

Applications Close: October 30
Additional Financial Assistance is also available through the following organizations:
- Kidsport Oil Country Hockey Assist program can help overcome the financial obstacles that prevent some young people from playing sports
- Canadian Tire Jumpstart offers additional funding to help cover registration costs

- Hockey Canada Foundation’s “Assist Fund” - The Lace Em Up program has partnered with Hockey Canada Foundation’s Assist fund to help financially disadvantaged children play hockey by ensuring kids have equal financial access to the game
- Canadian Tire First Shift offers a program that is accessible, affordable, safe and fun for new players starting out in hockey
- Grindstone Award helps girls across Canada remove financial barriers to be able to play hockey
